Duties |
The Deferred Compensation Management Council performs the following duties: (a) enforcement of the provisions of the Deferred Compensation Plan Document; (b) direction of the third-party administrator on behalf of the County to make disbursement of Deferred Compensation Plan benefits; (c) selection and review of any investment currently offered or under consideration to be offered as an investment option under the Deferred Compensation Plan; (d) make recommendations to the Board of Supervisors, as appropriate, regarding the appointment of such agents, advisors, and counsel, including a third-party administrator as necessary for the administration and operation of the Deferred Compensation Plan. |
Qualifications |
1. Two (2) members at-large appointed by the Board of Supervisors, who shall be participants in the Deferred Compensation Plan. |

Pursuant to Government Code Section 53235, if any local agency provides any type of compensation, salary, or stipend to a member of a legislative body or provides reimbursement for actual and necessary expenses incurred by a member of a legislative body in the performance of official duties, then all agency officials shall receive training in ethics. |
