| Duties |
Oversee general administration of funds; require Fresno's Chaffee Zoo Corporation to enter into appropriate contracts to expend tax proceeds as provided in the ordinance; may employ services of an auditor or other professional to oversee/report on BOE records and activities of Zoo Corp. regarding expenditures and progress of projects. |
| Qualifications |
• Each Supervisor shall nominate one person to be on the Zoo Authority Board, whose appointments shall be subject to the approval of the Board of Supervisors.
• The Chairman of the Board of Supervisors shall nominate one person who has expertise in zoo matters to be on the Zoo Authority Board, whose appointment shall be subject to the approval of the Board of Supervisors. |

| AB 1234 Ethics Training |
Pursuant to Government Code Section 53235, if any local agency provides any type of compensation, salary, or stipend to a member of a legislative body or provides reimbursement for actual and necessary expenses incurred by a member of a legislative body in the performance of official duties, then all agency officials shall receive training in ethics. |
