Duties |
Assist artists and arts organizations through advocacy, education, and efforts to increase awareness of the arts, and Fresno County artists to policymakers. Coordinate and disseminate information concerning all the arts and arts resources. Seek to represent a united position on issues pertaining to the arts. Sponsor and encourage cultural, educational, and creative activities. Sponsor research, fundraising, and public educational programs; administer property and encourage participation in and appreciation of the arts by the community. |

Pursuant to Government Code Section 53235, if any local agency provides any type of compensation, salary, or stipend to a member of a legislative body or provides reimbursement for actual and necessary expenses incurred by a member of a legislative body in the performance of official duties, then all agency officials shall receive training in ethics. |
